IRC Chess and ICQ
IRC Chess can also be used with ICQ. ICQ lets you know when your chess buddy is online so that you can link up to play chess together.
Your chess buddy is online. Send a challenge!
ICQ can be configured so that you can send a request to your opponent and when he accepts, IRC Chess is launched automatically.
- In ICQ click on the large ICQ button in the botton left hand corner.
- Select "Preferences" from the pop-up menu that appears.
- Select the "Internet Phone/Games/Chat" tab.
- Click on "New External" button.
- The Define New External Application box will appear. In the External Application Name box, type IRC Chess. Use the browse button to locate ircchess.exe on your hard drive. Click OK.
- Now when your chess buddy is online, right click on his/her name and IRC Chess should be launched.
